The objective of the network is simple. To create an environment and provide an opportunity where graduates and young professionals who are active within the broad `creative´ sector can connect, collaborate and combine their talents in order to provide a more comprehensive service than they are able to do individually.
In other words, it is the way to get to know local creative people from different places.
Imagine, for instance, you have finished your studies and it is the moment to job seeking a graduate job. Or imagine you travelled to another country to live and you want to meet people with the same interests as you.
As a member of the network, you will have instant access to people with the same interests as you.
In Manchester, it is easy to see that there is a huge artistic and creative influence.
People are attracted to the city, fascinated to its creative vibe, and its attitude towards studies in the arts.
When will it be the first meeting?
The first meeting will be celebrated with the Nova show.
People will have the chance to meet other creatives, speak about projects, and get experience in a networking group.
Afterwards, the group will have to discuss when it will be the second network and activities or subjects they want to bring up.
Is it needed?
Yes, it is needed because after the interviews I have done I have found that some people do not know about the existence of networks.
The people who know about them, they feel unsure and uncomfortable to attend the event for different and personal reasons.
The network I am developing will reach people who do not know about networks through flyers, pins, and the spread word of people.
Another way that will get the network known is with the use of an informative website with pictures of meetings, past and present information on events and a section of freelance work.
I found out that there are some people more motivated when they find new ways to work in their area, for that reason I have added the freelance work section.
